New work out of Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory! Our exploration of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and dark septate endophyte response to nitrogen addition and dominant plant removals. We found after 4 years of treatment, fungal communities had minimal changes to both nutrient addition and plant removals. Additionally, a followup growth assay experiment revealed that differences in fungal communities did not alter growth of new hosts.
