Emily Parrish defended her Honors prospectus this week which is exploring the morphological and physiological responses of Atlantic Ghost Crabs to glass sand substrates, which is part of a larger project exploring the feasibility of glass sand made from recycled glass bottles for coastal dune restoration projects.

Undergraduate Emily Parrish and MS student Chelsea Thornton just got word that both of their proposals for the Walter F Coxe Research Grants were funded by Alabama Audobon. These projects will allow both Chelsea and Emily to pursue projects associated with Atlantic Ghost Crabs.
Emily Parrish, Jacob Barefoot, Aaron Wiggs, and Madison Parks presented their research at the Undergraduate Research Symposium today! They were 4 of 90 undergraduate students at the University of South Alabama to present their research! Great job y'all!
Darrien Caudle successfully defended his MS thesis on instructor perceptions of integrating ideologically aware teaching materials within the classroom. He absolutely rocked it!
Emily Newman was selected as the top Life Sciences MS thesis at the University of South Alabama and will now go on to compete at the Conference of Southern Graduate Schools this fall! Congrats to Emily and I'm excited for the awards ceremony on October 10th!
